What it says about your order

You treat a fast food menu like a puzzle with a correct answer. Before you order, you check the app, compare the bundles and work out which combination gets you the most for the least. Then you order with the calm of someone who has already won.

You know which deals reset on which day, which reward points are worth saving, and when two smaller items beat one big one. Friends send you their orders for a second opinion. You usually find them a couple of dollars, and you never make a big deal of it.

None of this means you’re tight with money. It means you respect the money and the meal. A good deal tastes better because you found it, and a great one deserves a screenshot.

Your copycat move: run the numbers on making your favorites at home. Our recipes put an estimated home cost next to the restaurant price whenever we have both, so you can see exactly what the homemade version saves. On a family-size order the gap adds up quickly, and you already know what to do with the difference.
