About
The short version
- DupeEats settles fast food debates with real votes.
- Our rankings are built from those votes, not from our opinion.
- Every copycat recipe says where it came from and how close people who made it think it gets.
- It’s free, and paid for by ads and affiliate links that never change a result.
- We’re independent: not affiliated with any restaurant or brand.
Fast food arguments end here
Best fries? Better nuggets? Is the homemade version actually as good? Everyone has an opinion. DupeEats turns those opinions into votes, and the votes into answers.
Skip the line. Crack the recipe. Settle the score.
- Settle It debates. Start a debate, share it with your group chat and see who’s right. To see the result, you vote first.
- Rankings. Live tables of the best fast food in the US and the UK, built from votes in finished debates.
- Copycat recipes. Homemade “dupes” of menu favorites, with a Clone Score from the people who made them and an estimate of what you save.
- Fast Food Wrapped. A quick quiz that tells you what kind of fast food person you are.
- New menu drops. What’s new, what’s back and what’s leaving, with a source for every story.
- The Friday Drop. Our free weekly email with the debate everyone’s fighting about, the week’s drops, this month’s table and a copycat worth cooking.
Real votes, honest recipes
Every vote, rating and score comes from real people. Each device gets one vote per debate, and automatic checks stop bots and repeat votes. We never invent a number, a rating or a review.
Every recipe tells you where it came from: cooked and checked by us (“Tested by DupeEats”), shared by a home cook (“Community dupe”), or written with AI help and not cooked yet (“Untested”). The Clone Score, from 0 to 100%, is the average of ratings from people who made the recipe, and it only appears once enough of them have rated it.
Rankings are math, not taste-makers: a published statistical method applied to real votes, with honest ties and “Too close to call” when the data can’t separate the top two. Here’s how we count.
Made with our community
Anyone aged 16 or older can vote, start a debate, rate a recipe, share a photo of what they made or submit their own dupe. Published recipes carry the cook’s name the way they choose, and they can ask us to take them down at any time. See the Community content license.
How we run DupeEats
DupeEats is an independent website based in Spain, written for fast food fans in the US and the UK.
It runs with a lot of automation. Software publishes the rankings at the start of each month, reads the news sources we follow, sends The Friday Drop on Fridays and checks what people send us before it goes live. Those systems follow strict rules: when they aren’t sure, nothing gets published. Read our Editorial standards and How we use AI.
How we’re funded
DupeEats is free. It’s paid for by ads and by affiliate links to kitchen gear, both always labeled. Money never changes a recipe, a vote, a Clone Score or a ranking, and no brand pays us for coverage. See How we make money.
Not affiliated with any brand
DupeEats is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the restaurants or brands mentioned. We use chain and product names only to say what we’re talking about, and never their logos or photos. See Trademarks and non-affiliation.
